Description
In this delightful and heartfelt appreciation of intimacy in marriage, award-winning essayist, wife, and mother Valerie Schultz explores how the bonds between husband and wife, and parent and child draw us ever closer to God and one another.
In a series of frank and personal reflections on her own experiences, Schultz provides vignettes of marital intimacy that are sometimes ordinary, sometimes contentious, sometimes ecstatic, but always permeated by the incarnate presence of Christ. With a fresh vigor that is as engaging for newlyweds as it is entertaining for seasoned couples, Schultz reminds readers that intimacy is not only an essential ingredient in every marriage, but also part of their spiritual blueprint.
