Do your part and help slow the spread of the Corona-virus in shared spaces by wearing your cotton face mask.
Recent research has shown that the Coronavirus Covid-19 does not survive long on cotton. We are happy to offer our customers double layered cotton face masks made from 100 per cent cotton cloth. The Abbey Bookshop cotton face masks are also machine washable, reusable and available in three colour options, charcoal grey, light blue and white.

The Abbey Bookshop reusable cotton face coverings are made from 100% double-layered cotton, can be machined washed many times (recommended @ minimum 60 degrees) and is comfortable to wear. Make sure you wash your hands or sanitise your hands before touching the mask or placing the loops around your ears. The mask needs to cover your mouth, nose, and below your chin.
Wash your hands or sanitise them before removing your mask. How to wear your cotton face barrier mask:
Clean your hands properly before you put on the face mask.
Practice using it a few times to get comfortable putting it on and taking off.
Cover your mouth, nose and chin and make sure there are no gaps.
Place elastic bands around both ears
Carry extra clean face coverings in a sealable clean waterproof (ziplok type) bag.
Put used face masks in a similar type resealable bag.
Things NOT to do:
Don’t touch your face covering while wearing it – if you do, clean or sanitise your hands.
Don’t use a wet or soiled face covering.
Don’t share face coverings.
Don’t lower your face coverings to speak – if you need to uncover your nose or mouth take the face mask off and put it in the resealable bag.
To take your face mask off properly:
Remove the face mask from behind the ears first, try not to not touch the front of the mask
Put in a sealable clean waterproof bag or wash as soon as possible.
Wash your hands properly after removing the used face mask.
