Description
Drawing on a lifetime of biblical study and work as a retreat director, Rea McDonnell re-introduces us to Mary by teaching us to appreciate anew the spiritual truths found in her scriptural stories. Using Ignatian meditation, McDonnell invites readers to prayerfully ponder Marian passages from scripture and ancient tradition, helping them use their imaginations to meet Mary again for the first time.
This mature and challenging vision of Mary will help cultivate love for her and nudge us toward authentic spiritual growth.
“Sr. Rea’s personal love of Mary and her intimate knowledge of Scripture have created fresh perspectives on the Marian stories and their relationship to us and our world. Her skills as an adult educator and spiritual director shape Ignatian style meditations which invite the reader to personally enter into the stories, to contemplate, and to pray. A valuable resource for personal or communal study and prayer.”
